9th Asian Conference on Biomass Science (Online)
Sustainable utilization of biomass is getting more and more important toward the carbon neutrality target in 2050. In Asia rich in various biomass resources, especially in Southeast Asian countries, the conversion and utilization of unused biomass uncompetitive with food production to energy and materials etc. is an urgent issue from the point of fossil resource substitution and environmental protection. From this point of view, the Asian Conference on Biomass Science (ACBS) has been launched in fiscal 2013 as an international conference aiming at academic discussions on effective utilization of biomass resources in Asian countries, led by the Biomass Division of the Japan Institute of Energy. Due to the yet outbreak of COVID-19, the 9th ACBS is held online in January 2022. All the students, researchers and those who are interested in biomass utilization in Asian countries are welcome to join and submit papers to the 9th ACBS. If you wish, the extended abstract will be published as the special issue in Journal of the Japan Institute of Energy after review.
